How much does a gym website cost?
A gym website costs a builder subscription if you make it yourself, or a one-off build if it is made for you; our custom gym websites start from $5,000, or $7,500 with a booking system. Many gyms also pay for gym software, which may or may not include a website, so check what you already pay for first.
- Website builders are the cheapest cash option, for example Wix from $17 a month billed annually; you build and update the site yourself.
- Gym software handles memberships, classes and payments. Published starting prices include free (PushPress) and Mindbody at $79 a month per location in the US (Starter), and a proper website isn't always included.
- A custom gym website is a one-off build. Ours start from $5,000, or $7,500 with a booking system, with a fixed written quote first.
- Integrations (class booking, sign-ups, payments) are usually the biggest variable in a quote.
- Judge the cost against trial sign-ups, using your own numbers in the formula below.
How much does a gym website cost in 2026?
A gym website can come from a website builder, from your gym software, or from a designer who builds it for you, like the sites on our gym website design page. The prices are not directly comparable, because each option does a different job.
| Option | What you pay | What it does | Who builds it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website builder (Squarespace, Wix) | From $17–$19 a month billed annually | Pages, hosting, simple forms | You |
| Gym software (examples: PushPress, Mindbody) | From $0 to about $229 a month, plus card processing | Memberships, class booking, payments | The software; you set it up |
| Custom gym website (our starting prices) | From $5,000 one-off; $7,500 with a booking system | Your site, connected to your gym software | We build it |
These are approximate figures based on published pricing and industry reports at the time of writing. Your actual cost depends on your scope and will be confirmed after a free discovery call with us.
Most gyms end up with two pieces: gym software for the day-to-day, and a website that wins new members and sends them into that software to book a trial or sign up.
Does gym management software include a website?
Sometimes, and this is where owners get confused about what they already pay for. Gym software is built to run the gym: memberships, class schedules, check-ins and payments. Some products include a basic website or landing pages; others only give you booking widgets to add to your own site. Our guides to Mindbody website integration and gym website builders vs gym software vs a custom site explain the trade-offs.
| Gym software | Approximate starting price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Mindbody | From $79 a month per location in the US (Starter) | Higher tiers quoted by sales; Starter lists branded website widgets |
| PushPress | Free, then $159 (Pro) and $229 (Max) a month | Marketing and landing pages in a separate $329-a-month Grow plan |
| Glofox | Reported from about $99 a month | Price depends on business type and locations |
| Wodify | Listed at about $199 a month per location | Promotional discounts are sometimes offered |
Most offer a schedule or sign-up widget or link for your website; we confirm how yours connects in the discovery call. Before you pay for a website, answer three questions:
- Does my current software plan already include a website or landing pages?
- Can its class timetable and sign-up forms be added to another website?
- If I switch software later, what happens to the website?
What does a gym website cost with a website builder?
Squarespace's US plans are $19 to $99 a month billed annually, and Wix's US plans are $17 to $159 a month. Prices vary by country and change over time.
A builder suits a new gym or a single personal trainer who needs a few pages quickly. The subscription doesn't cover the work that decides whether visitors join: a timetable that reads well on a phone, clear membership prices and a trial sign-up that takes seconds. Our gym website checklist covers each of those. For what changes in a specialist studio, see our guides for boutique fitness studios, yoga studios, Pilates studios, CrossFit boxes, dance studios, martial arts schools and swim schools; for coaches who work on their own, see our guides for personal trainers and online coaches.
What does a custom gym website cost, including integrations?
Our published starting prices are $5,000 (about £4,000 / €4,500) for a Custom Business Website, $7,500 (about £6,000 / €6,500) for a Website + Booking System, and $10,000+ for a Custom Digital System. See each package on our website pricing page.
Integrations are what move a gym quote between those packages:
- Embedding your software's widgets (timetable, trial booking, sign-up): the simplest route, and usually covered by a Custom Business Website.
- A booking flow built into the site: a Website + Booking System.
- Deeper connections such as member dashboards, several locations or data flowing between systems: a Custom Digital System.
With us, you get a free discovery call, then a fixed written quote; an advance deposit, then milestone payments (USD, by Wise or PayPal). A build typically takes around 2 months, depending on scope. It includes 2 rounds of revisions and 2 months of free support, and you own the website, code, domain and content once paid.

What does a finished gym website look like?
See it in action. Here's a demo gym website we built to show what's possible: Forge Athletics. It's a demo, not a client project. It includes:
- three clear ways to train (Starter, Performance and Unlimited);
- a class timetable covering strength, conditioning, mobility and yoga, personal training and open gym;
- a "Book your first session" free-trial form with a preferred time;
- coach profiles, directions to the gym, and a WhatsApp button for people who want to ask first.
As shown, with a trial-request form or your gym software's widgets embedded, a site like this corresponds to our Custom Business Website (from $5,000). With a booking flow built into the site, it becomes a Website + Booking System (from $7,500). Your exact price is confirmed after the discovery call.
How do you work out if a gym website pays for itself?
There's no single official benchmark for how many trials turn into members, so the most reliable way to judge the cost is with your own numbers. Your gym software and analytics already hold most of them.
| Step | Where to find it | Your figure |
|---|---|---|
| A. Website visitors a month | Your analytics | |
| B. Share who book a trial | Trial bookings ÷ visitors | |
| C. Share of trials who join | Your gym software | |
| D. Average member value over a year | Monthly fee × months members usually stay (up to 12) | |
| E. New member value from the website per year (A × B × C × D × 12) | ||
| F. Website cost per year (build cost spread over the years you'll use it, plus running costs) | Your quotes |
What industry reports say about C (not our data): reported trial-to-member rates vary widely, roughly 10% to over 70%, and structured trials with follow-up are commonly cited at 30–45%, versus 10–20% without follow-up. Use them as a sense-check against your own figure, not as a target.
A new website mainly changes B: how many visitors book a trial. If a small improvement in B covers F, the website pays for itself. Our guide to getting more gym membership leads covers the trial offer and the follow-up that affect C, and our guide to gym lead follow-up shows automated replies that book trials.
What ongoing costs does a gym website have?
- Gym software: monthly, plus card processing on each payment.
- Hosting: Hosting for a small business website typically costs about $5–$50 a month: roughly $3–$15 for shared hosting and $15–$50 for managed hosting. Introductory prices are often much lower than renewal prices. We'll recommend the right option for your site in the discovery call.
- Domain: renewed yearly. In our projects, hosting and the domain are listed separately in your quote.
- Updates: timetable changes, new coaches, seasonal offers. Our maintenance plans start from $500/month if you want us to handle them; timetables that come from your gym software update themselves.
- Photos and video: refreshed as the gym changes.

How do gym website costs differ in the UK, Europe, Canada and Australia?
Builder and gym software prices vary by country, so check the local price. Our packages are quoted in USD, with approximate £ and € amounts shown above. Watch for tax in every quote:
- UK: the standard VAT rate is 20%.
- EU: each country sets its own VAT rates; the standard rate must be at least 15%.
- Canada: GST is 5%, and HST provinces charge a combined rate.
- Australia: GST is 10% on most goods and services.
Also check that your gym software supports your local payment methods and currency. Whether tax applies to a cross-border service depends on your country's rules, so ask your accountant. For designer pay and taxes side by side, see our guide to website design cost by country.
