PDF Toolkit — 15 Tools in One Page

The PDF Toolkit is an all-in-one set of PDF tools that run in your browser — merge, split, rotate, compress, add page numbers or watermarks, convert images to and from PDF, and Word↔PDF. Your files are processed locally and never uploaded, with no watermark on the output.

Built and tested by the MarketingToolsProHub team.

Image to PDF, merge, split, rotate, remove & reorder pages, watermark (text or logo), page numbers, PDF → image, compress, extract images, plus Word → PDF, PDF → Word, PDF → text and Image → Word (OCR) — all running 100% in your browser. Files never touch a server.

.docx only (modern Word). Older binary .doc isn't supported.

Text, headings, lists, tables, bold/italic and inline images are kept. Exact fonts & spacing may differ slightly from Word — it's a faithful render, not a byte-perfect copy.
PDF → Word (.docx)
Drop a PDF here or click to browse
Extracts the text into an editable .docx
This pulls the text from your PDF into an editable Word file. It's perfect for text-based PDFs, but it does not reproduce exact page layout, multi-column flow, or images — and it can't read scanned/handwritten pages (those need OCR).
PDF → Text (.txt)
Drop a PDF here or click to browse
Pulls all selectable text into a plain .txt file
Great for grabbing copy out of a PDF. Scanned/image-only PDFs have no selectable text, so they'd need OCR (not included).
Image → Word (OCR — extract text)
Drop image(s) here or click to browse
JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP — photos, scans or screenshots of text

Output format
OCR runs entirely in your browser. The first run downloads the OCR engine and language data (a few MB), so it's slower — it's cached afterward. Accuracy depends on a clear, straight, well-lit image of printed text; handwriting and low-quality scans come out poorly. Always proofread the result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Everything runs in your browser using pdf-lib. Files are loaded into memory, processed locally, then offered as a download. We never see them.

Only your browser's RAM. Most laptops handle PDFs up to ~200 MB fine. Very large image-to-PDF jobs (hundreds of high-res photos) can be slow.

These three tools use Mozilla's PDF.js (~1.5 MB) to render or inspect each page. We lazy-load it only when you click one of those tiles — it never downloads if you just merge or watermark a file. Once loaded it's cached for the rest of your session, so subsequent runs are instant.

The Compress tool rebuilds each page as a single JPEG, which is what produces the dramatic size reduction. The trade-off is that text becomes part of the image, so Ctrl-F and copy-paste no longer work. If you need to keep text searchable, skip Compress and use a lower-DPI source for your PDF instead. We'll add a "preserve text" mode in a future update.

Yes — all major mobile browsers (iOS Safari, Android Chrome) support it. Large files may be slower on phones; for jobs over ~50 MB use a desktop browser.

PDF Toolkit — your questions answered

Is the PDF Toolkit free?

Yes. It's completely free with no sign-up and no watermark on your files.

Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. Every operation runs in your browser, so your documents never leave your device.

What can it do?

Merge, split, rotate, compress, add page numbers and watermarks, convert images to/from PDF, and convert between Word and PDF, plus image-to-text OCR.

Is there a file-size limit?

There's no fixed limit, but very large files are bounded by your device's available memory.

Does it add its own watermark?

No. The only watermark on a PDF is one you choose to add yourself.
